It all started with an airstream
In 2022 Maggi and Nancy set out to start a mother/daughter business. Maggi found a 1980s airstream that she took back to the studs, retrofitted, and brought to life with their signature sycamore leaf logo and called it Sycamore Snacks. They quickly went to work trying out a mix of new concoctions like the blueberry grilled cheese as well as tried and true family staples from Nancy’s recipe book on customers in the Shenandoah Valley.
Creating a community
Over the next two years Sycamore Snacks drew a following. The food truck visited repeat venues like Sweet Donkey Coffee, Solstice Brewing, Black Dog Salvage, and more. We started to see repeat faces, people who had found us on social media, and those that had discovered us through word of mouth.
Building a brick and mortar
In 2023 we broke ground on the physical location at 1900 Dutch Oven Road. With the help of our wonderful contracting team we saw our long term vision come to life. Today we’ve been grateful to see the same faces that came to see us as Sycamore Snacks and we’re continuing to see new faces every day. We hope you’ll join us soon for a bite to eat, a coffee, an event, or to rent out our community space for your next get together.
